Camels in a Bottle

In Jordan, there were several places we visited where local artists busied themselves creating decorative bottles filled with sand. Working with a number of different colors, they would pour sand into a variety of different shaped bottles, creating desert scenes.

Standing, watching them work, seeing the sand go into the bottles and be gently arranged with nothing more than a small funnel and a long stick, I still can't figure out exactly how they managed to craft their designs the way they did. However, the end result was always interesting and colorful.
