Checkpoint

Passing through the West Bank and Palestinian territory on our way to Jericho. One quickly becomes introduced to the omnipresent "Checkpoints". A bane of existence for many Palestinians (and some Israelis, as well).

Here, an Israel soldier looks through our passports at one of the checkpoints.

We had to all get out of the bus one time, but not much of an inconvenience. We weren't endlessly interrogated. We weren't harrassed or humiliated. We weren't told we had to go back, that we couldn't go where we wanted to go.

That isn't always the case for others at the omnipresent Checkpoints.
